Product and Mold Engineer If you have rubber process experience and enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative work culture, then consider this direct-hire Product and Mold Engineer opportunity! You’ll design molds and auxiliary equipment for manufacturing, coordinate tooling fabrication and test activities, and provide processing assistance at a successful company’s Laconia, NH facility.

Responsibilities of the Product and Mold Engineer

  • Design molds and auxiliary equipment for manufacturing
  • Plan and formulate engineering projects
  • Direct and coordinate tooling fabrication activities with in-house tool room and outside machine shops to ensure products and systems meet engineering design and customer specifications
  • Produce and sketch working drawings of tooling and customer products
  • Confer with customers as necessary
  • Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of molds and auxiliary equipment
  • Manage the Test Lab schedule as well as setup and implementation of tests
  • Foster and encourage safe practices on the shop floor
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications of the Product and Mold Engineer

  • BS in Engineering curriculum or equivalent
  • 5+ years of rubber process experience
  • Job shop background
  • Thorough understanding of molding methods (compression, transfer, injection, over molding)
  • Knowledge of rubber to metal bonding techniques and troubleshooting
  • Solid modeling experience preferred – ideally SolidWorks
  • Must possess the ability to complete geometric and algebraic formulas
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
