Your Role: Own the Challenge

Procurement Specialist-ensures implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Cost reductions and sourcing activities for indirect divisional materials and services, in Monterrey 3.0 site. Main stakeholders are maintenance, warehouse, manufacturing, HSE.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
• Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of indirect products/materials/services to reach business targets.
• Updating data in SAP system (PIR, Price, Lead time, MOQ, etc)
• Monitoring on time delivery of materials. Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
• Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Cooperation with Purchasing - In cooperation with purchasing develop supplier relationships, purchasing to manage supplier daily performance. Ensure solid component availability and necessary flexibility to meet own business needs
• Tactical task as certificate of origin, collection of sustainability and compliance requirements.
• Supporting interna stakeholders in supplier visits and scope defining for indirect materials/services RFQ and RFP

Qualifications for the role

• 2-5 years of professional work experience.
• Basic Knowledge of indirect materials and services (packaging materials, boxes, pallets, manufacturing projects, maintenance services, scrap collection vendors, continuous improvement projects, conveyors, workstation improvements, industrial safety projects, and labels).
• Proficient with MS Office Suite; SAP knowledge is an asset
• Continuous Improvement focus, be demanding and do not accept average results
• Basic understanding supply market, logistics, B2B
• Experience in RFQ & RFP executions and reviews
• Experience in internal stakeholder communication management.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or International Business.
• Strong oral and written communication in English
