Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, bilingual Procurement Specialist to support material availability and purchasing operations across multiple manufacturing plants in the United States. This role will manage raw-material procurement activities, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and risk escalations to help ensure uninterrupted production and on-time material delivery.

The successful candidate will use Oracle MRP to monitor material coverage, identify potential shortages, assess supply risk, and coordinate timely actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on procurement professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Manage raw-material purchasing activities and purchase orders to support multiple manufacturing plants in Mexico and the United States.

Use Oracle MRP to review material demand, inventory coverage, and supply requirements, identifying high-, medium-, and low-risk shortages.

Monitor open purchase orders, delivery commitments, supplier performance, and material availability to help prevent production disruptions.

Escalate supply risks and material shortages through established processes, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to develop timely solutions.

Collaborate closely with U.S.-based stakeholders, Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.

Support and oversee import, export, customs, and international-shipping activities to ensure materials arrive on time and in compliance with applicable requirements.

Maintain accurate purchasing data, material status updates, and procurement documentation within Oracle and other relevant systems.

Participate in supplier communication, issue resolution, and sourcing activities; experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives is a plus.

Preferred Experience/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, material planning, supply chain, or supplier management within a manufacturing environment.

Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders in the United States.

Valid U.S. visa is mandatory, with availability to travel approximately once per month during the first three to four months of employment.

Experience using Oracle MRP or a comparable ERP/MRP system to manage demand, material coverage, purchase orders, and supply risk.

Knowledge of procurement processes, raw-material purchasing, supplier follow-up, and purchase-order management.

Familiarity with imports, exports, customs processes, and international logistics.

Experience in rotating equipment, metal-mechanical manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or a similarly technical industrial environment is preferred.

Strong sense of urgency, proactive problem-solving approach, communication skills, adaptability, and ability to escalate issues effectively.
