About the Role The Procurement Specialist will support sourcing and procurement activities for Baker Hughes in the Nailsea, Somerset area. This role focuses on supplier collaboration, contract execution, and cost optimization to meet business needs within the Sourcing category. It aims to drive efficient and compliant purchasing processes that enable project delivery. What You'll Do
- Support end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract management, and purchase order processing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and ensure alignment with category strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support risk management. What We're Looking For
- Experience in procurement or sourcing (ideally in energy/oil & gas or industrial sectors).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, systems, and supplier management best practices.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Nice to Have
- CIPS or equivalent procurement certification.
- Knowledge of supplier risk management and compliance frameworks.
