Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in the construction and furniture industries to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing procurement processes, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality materials to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for construction and furniture materials.
  • Obtain and analyse quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and value for money.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials.
  • Ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Track deliveries, resolve supply chain issues, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic procurement reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in construction, furniture manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, furniture components, fittings, and finishing materials.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement or inventory management tools.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
