Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is an integrated agribusiness enterprise located in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria. The company is currently focused on large-scale poultry production, delivering high-quality poultry products to meet the growing protein needs of Nigerian households and businesses.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Procurement Officer

Job Location: Igbariam, Anambra

Department: Procurement Department

Reports to: Procurement Supervisor

Job Summary

• The Procurement Officer is responsible for executing purchasing processes, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services, and maintaining supplier relationships.
• The role supports the Procurement Supervisor in cost optimization, vendor management, and compliance with procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate favourable terms, and support vendor selection and contract management.
• Conduct vendor evaluation and performance monitoring, maintain an up-to-date supplier database, and ensure suppliers meet agreed service and delivery standards.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation in line with company policies, approval procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with Inventory, Warehouse, and Finance to monitor stock requirements, reconcile procurement transactions and invoices, and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Monitor procurement expenditure, pricing, and delivery timelines, identifying cost-saving opportunities and resolving procurement issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and performance reports, and prepare regular procurement reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.

• Proven experience in vendor management, quotation evaluation, purchase order processing, and supplier performance monitoring.

• Working knowledge of procurement regulations, contract negotiation, and procurement compliance.

• Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or relevant procurement/logistics certification is an advantage.
