Job title: Procurement Manager

About the Role Responsible for the strategic purchasing program across multiple divisions, leading supplier management, and optimizing cost, quality, and delivery. This role drives the purchasing strategy, cross-location collaboration, and development of a high-performance procurement team in Foshan, China.

What You'll Do

  • Develop long/mid-term procurement strategy for multi-divisions to build supply base with KPIs: The Best Total Cost, Right Quality Level, Excellent delivery.
  • Deploy strategy with organization and road map; Build effective organization; Manage product/material procurement strategy to satisfy project/business or service business requirements.
  • Source and develop new suppliers in best total cost areas; work with global category management and procurement functions from sister companies in China; maximize synergies.
  • Optimize product cost (design to cost) with divisions; support product transferring to Andritz China.
  • Partner with key suppliers with forecast/lean initiatives, pro-active quality; leverage volume negotiations to build frame contracts.
  • Focus on operational excellence; supervise the team's efficiency and quality of procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with quality and operations to drive supplier performance (cost, delivery, quality) and lean initiatives; reduce material inventory.
  • Support project tendering with early involvement of sourcing; implement global procurement initiatives.
  • Build a continuous improvement culture within the leading team; optimize processes and procedures; ensure compliance with procurement laws.

What We're Looking For

  • University degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
  • Outstanding spoken and written English; strong communication; team spirit and results-oriented.
  • Minimum 10 years of procurement management experience in multinational corporations; knowledge of China supply chain is essential.
  • Strong mechanical procurement background; experience with manufacturing subcontracting, casting & forging components.
  • Equipment manufacturing knowledge and lean knowledge is a plus.

  • Cross-location procurement experience and ability to leverage global synergies.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and equipment manufacturing exposure.
