About the Role As the Procurement Engineer for Intelligence Systems & Space, you will own end-to-end supply chain and drive strategic supplier development and cost management for Anduril’s hardware across lifecycles. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure parts can be sourced at target costs and lead times. This role focuses on accelerating development and ramping production for space and intelligence programs. What You'll Do
- Deep dive into engineering BOM with engineering to ensure parts can be sourced at target costs
- Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved supplier list and onboarding unique vendors to support Space & Intelligence
- Drive on-time delivery using innovative approaches to reduce traditional space lead-times and constraints
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via concept scoping, trade-off analysis, should-cost models, and joint design development with clear statements of work
- Assist with manufacturing BOM development and ramp production with high flexibility
- Manage total cost of the program including NPI and mass production
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessment, include alternate component sourcing
- Ensure completion of component qualifications ahead of production
- Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization
- Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost and maximize total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues (tariffs / import export costs, cost inflation)
- Manage supply issues as they arise to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level
- Active U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
- Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time, variable based on program needs
- Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA Nice to Have
- Master's degree or advanced technical degree
- Deeper experience within design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Advanced sourcing activities, including stints as commodity/sourcing managers
- Supplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.)
- Early supplier engagement, ahead of product/engineering requirement realization
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Exposure to working in a fast-pace, start-up environment
- Direct experience in the Space industry
- Experience negotiating and managing commercial subcontracts Compensation & Benefits
- US Salary Range: $129,000 - $171,000 USD per year
