Procurement Customs Specialist
Our client, a Global Leader in the Consumer Appliance Industry, has an immediate opening for a Procurement Customs Specialist for a 5 Month + Contract. The ideal candidate will have customs experience and will be able to adapt their knowledge to our clients' processes and consumer appliance products.
ONSITE
Responsibilities

Responsible for providing support and direction to process partners on import activity to ensure timely and accurate Customs clearance in accordance with US Customs regulations.

Be able to multitask and respond quickly to any issues affecting the customs clearance process.

Evaluate current imports and identify potential duty drawback opportunities and special trade program savings.

Provide daily guidance in the areas related to HTSUS classification, FDA/USDA requirements, special trade programs, and internal import and export compliance.

Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required). Degree required in order to convert to client on direct hire.

1-2 years of this type of work-import to customs compliance

Similar or adjacent experience: Export compliance- shipping and Logistics is similar, but warehousing alone does not have the customs piece that is necessary.

Some Finance or other regulatory fields can be semi-transferable for this role (government regulatory)

Experience with HTSUS is highly desired.
