About the Role Novartis seeks a Procurement Category Manager based in Mexico (Insurgentes) to lead category management activities within Purchasing & Sourcing and to drive strategic supplier partnerships and cost optimization for assigned categories. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business needs
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve best value
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, QA, and operations
- Monitor market trends, spend analytics, and risk management for assigned categories
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards What We're Looking For
- Relevant experience in procurement/category management or sourcing
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Familiarity with supplier performance management and risk assessment
- Ability to navigate a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities Nice to Have
- Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare procurement
