About the Role Join Tower Semiconductor as a Process Technician in Diffusion at our San Antonio fab. You will evaluate and monitor wafer fabrication operations, support process engineering, and sustain DIFF/EPI areas, enabling reliable production and continuous yield improvements.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and monitor wafer fabrication operations to maintain the process and process equipment.
  • Investigate tool-related process and yield problems.
  • Assist senior engineering in the evaluation and implementation of complex process and equipment changes.
  • Undertake area projects, becoming an expert in applicable process disciplines. Support technology transfers and process development as needed.
  • This position is primarily responsible for executing daily sustaining of DIFF/EPI areas and following up with procedures and schedules defined by the process engineering department.
  • Daily disposition of product, tool quals, and hold lots.
  • Monitor quality and other issues that affect the flow of WIP.
  • Collaborate with process engineering, equipment engineer, and production to sustain the fab.
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust process equipment; perform diagnostic tests and evaluate results.
  • Perform technical equipment calibration and characterization.
  • Process test runs and conduct tests for engineering to identify continuous yield improvement projects (CIPs).
  • Maintain and update area spec/OCAPs and conduct detailed records of procedures and results.
  • Conduct processing experiments on devices to prove/improve engineering design.
  • Conduct tests on devices/wafers by applying advanced techniques and criteria to obtain data required for process studies.
  • Execute experiments and non-routine process testing (VSTs).

What We're Looking For

  • Requires an AA/AS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of technical experiment in the semiconductor industry.
  • Some knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing.
  • Some knowledge of SPC, failure analysis, and various software monitoring tools.
  • Experience with MS tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
