Salary up to £42,380 (inc. shift allowance of 30% ) depending on experience. Location Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Duration Permanent

We’re looking for Process Finishers to join our Process Finishing Department at our manufacturing facility in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, working on 3 shift rotation (two-week rotating 3-shift pattern consisting of an early shift, late shift and night shift. Including shorter Fridays).

As a Process Finisher as Renishaw, you’ll work with a range of specialist finishing and manufacturing processes, supporting the production of precision-engineered components used across advanced industries worldwide.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who bring experience from finishing, surface treatment, engineering or manufacturing environments. However, we also welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills, a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. Full training and development will be provided for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Anodising and surface treatment processes

  • Chemical processing, plating or passivation

  • Aquablasting, bead blasting or abrasive finishing operations

  • Manual or automated deburring

  • Finishing precision-engineered components

  • Quality inspection and interpretation of engineering drawings

  • Continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting

  • Key requirements

  • Manual finishing and deburring of precision-engineered components

  • Operating automated deburring equipment

  • Aquablasting and bead blasting processes

  • Anodising and surface treatment activities

  • Laser engraving and product identification

  • Inspecting components against engineering drawings and specifications

  • Completing production and quality documentation

  • Following standard operating procedures and safe systems of work

  • Supporting continuous improvement activities

  • Working flexibly across different areas of the department as required

  • Desirable requirements

  • Basic pc skills required, although full training will be given to successful applicant.

  • Some knowledge of working in a process finishing environment would be desirable.

  • We are looking for someone who can confidently follow written procedures and work instructions, demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, and is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be reliable, flexible, and proactive in their approach to work, with a commitment to supporting team and departmental objectives.
