Responsibilities

  • Define, maintain and optimize process parameters to ensure operational stability, quality and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, process control and the monitoring of critical production variables.
  • Analyze process performance, identify the root causes of recurring issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Define and prioritize improvement projects based on operational results and customer needs.
  • Act as the owner of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities and control plans for the processes under their responsibility.
  • Support operations teams in resolving technical problems, training employees and implementing best practices.
  • Participate in development projects, mill trials, research activities and the evaluation of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with research centres, suppliers and technical partners to improve processes and product quality.
  • Promote a culture focused on health and safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in a role related to metallurgical processes.

  • Experience in the steel industry or a similar manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of wire rod, wire drawing, galvanizing or pickling processes is considered an asset.

  • Excellent computer and analytical skills.

  • Ability to communicate in French and English.

  • Availability for occasional international travel.
