About the Role Nolato Contour is seeking a Process Engineer to lead development and optimization of LSR and Thermoplastic Scientific Molding processes for medical/pharma customers. This role focuses on delivering robust process capability, tooling alignment, and continuous improvement within a fast-growing manufacturing environment. What You'll Do
- Develop, create and execute LSR and Thermoplastic Scientific Molding processes; provide process development and technical reporting on new and existing tooling.
- Set up and troubleshoot injection-molding machines; configure and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment such as robots, hot runner controllers, temperature control units, servo controllers and pickers.
- Document process parameters using the Master Process documentation procedure; verify all physical attributes of parts (date code, color, revision level, size, Class A surface etc.) as required.
- Address unacceptable reject levels by adjusting the molding process or coordinating with tool room, engineering, and maintenance to improve yields.
- Routinely evaluate jobs for cycle-time reductions and other improvements; maintain a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Support MRB and CAPA processes; use IQMS ERP for day-to-day activities and alignment.
- Foster strong external and internal customer relations and communicate via technical reporting.
- Participate in and lead the training of Process Technicians; pursue training opportunities and share skills within the company.
- Support and comply with all company ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 policies, SOPs, and work instructions; maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team; demonstrate leadership and effective communication. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in related manufacturing industry preferred; statistical manufacturing background with process capability preferred.
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and FDA-certified environments desired.
- Familiar with inspection, testing and precision measurement methods.
- Solid understanding of injection molding processing and troubleshooting in cosmetic thermoplastic materials and multiple molding machines.
- Mechanical aptitude with polymers knowledge; basic tool design and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with leadership capabilities; positive, cross-functional team player.
- Physical requirements: able to sit, stand, walk, bend and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Nice to Have
