About the Role The Process Engineer at Minitüb GmbH is responsible for analyzing, developing, optimizing and standardizing manufacturing and operating processes. The role focuses on increasing OEE, productivity, reducing costs, Lean Management and continuous improvement, with hands-on work on the shop floor. You will collaborate closely with the Process Quality Engineer to prevent faults and ensure robust processes. What You'll Do
- Increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), productivity and equipment availability; analyze scrap, losses and production KPIs; identify bottlenecks and downtime; optimize material flow, layout and work procedures; introduce new products and technologies into production; create technical documentation and work instructions.
- Implement Lean Management and continuous improvement (CIP) using Lean, 5S and Kaizen; lead CIP workshops; develop KPI dashboards and implement Shopfloor Management systems; visualize and eliminate waste per TIMWOOD.
- Focus on quality and process capability (Cp/Cpk); support FMEA, CAPA and root-cause analyses; implement Poka-Yoke solutions; collaborate with Process Quality Engineer on error prevention and deviations.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Production Leadership, Quality, Technology, Supervisors and Maintenance; close cooperation with Equipment Engineering (MTDE) at Minitüb Deutschland on new equipment/technologies, automation projects, process validation, equipment qualification and standardization; assist with technical issues and investment projects. What We're Looking For
- University degree in engineering or comparable technical qualification; hands-on problem-solver with practical mindset; manufacturing or process engineering experience.
- Experience with plastics is a plus but not required.
- Analytical and systematic thinking; strong presence on the shop floor (Gemba).
- Ability to independently identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary actions; prior experience in leading a team.
- German at B2 or English at B2; advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills; valid B driving license.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in process engineering.
