About the Role

Join Autoliv's Industrial Engineering team in Krugersdorp as a Process Engineer. You will develop and implement robust process controls and continuous improvement initiatives in automotive manufacturing, leveraging Industry 4.0 and IQRM tools. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, quality systems compliance (IATF 16949, ISO 14001) and collaboration across functions to improve product and process performance.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, review, and implement Control Plans and FMEA, preferably using IQRM Software.
  • Create and update BOMs.
  • Create Work Instructions, SOPs, Inspection Standards, Forms and guidelines compliant with OEM requirements and IATF 16949, ISO 14001.
  • Manage shopfloor document and records control.
  • Provide process/product related training.
  • Record data and validate integrity from activities and studies.
  • Analyze process performance using statistical and analytical tools.
  • Support Process Audits.
  • Develop and implement Inspection Standards, Work Instructions and Flow charts.
  • Ensure products and supplier parts are approved prior to start of production.
  • Conduct product audits and layout inspections to validate the process.
  • Develop and facilitate implementation of statistical process controls.
  • Monitor process results against process parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements (OEMs).
  • Carry out production trials, capability studies, product validations, capacity studies, etc.
  • Verify new parts and Engineering Changes.
  • Identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned.
  • Participate in Lean & continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Industrial Engineer by qualification.
  • Core Tools experience is advantageous.
  • IATF 16949 experience/awareness advantageous.
  • Automotive industry experience advantageous.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with IQRM software (if not already covered in responsibilities).
  • Additional lean/quality certification is a plus.
