Job title: Process Engineer Electronics Manufacturing
About the Role We are seeking a Process Engineer for electronics manufacturing to lead and further develop production processes, bridging development and serial production. You will drive industrialization and relocation projects to improve quality and process stability, implement new process technologies, and optimize production lines.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for the introduction and further development of manufacturing processes in electronics manufacturing, including analysis, documentation and project management.
- Collaborate on industrialization and relocation projects to increase quality and process stability.
- Implement new process technologies internally and externally as the technological interface between development and serial production.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, machines and workplaces in collaboration with production, design and other departments – with a focus on lean and efficient production workflows.
- Assess the manufacturability of assemblies and technologies with regard to serial suitability and support calculations and investment decisions for machines and systems.
- Contribute to the selection, evaluation and development of suppliers.
- Act as a technical contact for disruptions and problems to ensure smooth production.
What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed studies in engineering or natural sciences (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, production engineering, process technology, materials science/engineering or technical physics) or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in technology development or operational process support within a manufacturing electronics production company.
- Ideally knowledge of additional relevant technologies such as flat-pack board technology, board-level technology, machining, or surface cleaning/coating.
- Strong methodological expertise and experience in quality management (e.g., APQP, FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma).
- Proficient German and English in speaking and writing; willingness to travel (~30% of time).
- Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovative solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience in additional relevant technologies such as flat-pack board and board-level technologies, machining, surface cleaning or coating (preferred).
