Process Engineer

About the Role As a Process Engineer at Datwyler, you will play a key role in managing the entire costing process from RFQ initiation to final cost calculation, while also developing innovative production and tooling concepts in close collaboration with production and tooling teams. You will directly contribute to successful product realization by combining technical expertise, commercial vision and strong cross-functional collaboration. What You'll Do

• Manage the RFQ and costing process from initial inquiry to final cost calculations
• Develop production concepts and tooling in close collaboration with production teams and the tool shop
• Create and evaluate new production concepts to support efficient and competitive solutions
• Finalize cost calculations ensuring accuracy and feasibility of proposals
• Tool management: coordinate with tool shops during RFQ and manufacturing phases
• Support tool optimization during prototyping and serial production
• Negotiate with equipment and tool shop suppliers to ensure the best technical and commercial outcomes
• Manage tool ordering processes, monitor lead times and SAP administration
• Configure and maintain SAP data related to tools and equipment What We're Looking For
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tooling management, mold/tool design or cost engineering
• Excellent English and Italian language skills
• Experience in industrialization and product realization
• Strong Excel proficiency
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Experience with CAD tools 2D and 3D
• Knowledge of rubber manufacturing processes and finishing technologies
• Basic knowledge of rubber materials
• Basic project management knowledge
• Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
• Open, proactive and professional communication
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Analytical mindset and solution-oriented approach Nice to Have
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Experience with CAD 2D and 3D tools
