About the Role Provide process engineering support to drive development, optimize processes, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance production efficiency, with a focus on achieving fundamental understanding. What You'll Do
- Drive projects to achieve manufacturing performance goals for both new and existing processes.
- Identify process limitations based on current equipment and capabilities and recommend solutions to overcome them.
- Lead initiatives to gain a deeper understanding of key processes, enabling continuous improvement, yield optimization, and cost reduction.
- Provide strategic guidance to management on prioritizing projects for maximum impact.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement improvements to address process challenges and enhance overall performance.
- Manage and support critical engineering and development projects aligned with the plant's long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with division and company resources in technology and engineering to enhance project success.
- Partner with teams on new product and process launches, raw material changes, and equipment design modifications. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic, materials, chemical engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering problem solving tools, such as: DMAIC, error proofing, scientific method, KT.
- Proven experience in process improvement and successful development initiatives.
- Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in relevant areas.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects effectively.
- Skilled in reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and drawing actionable conclusions from data.
- Results-driven with a high level of commitment to achieving goals.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in delivering clear and impactful presentations.
- US Citizenship required.
