About the Role Chemours is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Technology team at the Washington Works site in Parkersburg, WV. You will provide engineering guidance and support for Operations, Maintenance, and Technology Teams in the Polymers Area, contributing to yield, uptime, reliability, safety, and capital projects.
What You'll Do
- Act as a Process Engineering resource
- Recommend and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting
- Lead and participate in incident investigations
- Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA)
- Lead capital projects for various improvements
- Provide environmental support
- Travel less than 10%
What We're Looking For
- BS in Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineer with a process background
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of typical equipment used in a Chemical Plant (pumps, compressors, piping, distillation columns, reactors, refrigeration machines, etc.)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Willing and able to wear required PPE (steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.)
- Five years or more of engineering experience
Nice to Have
- 10 years or more of experience in a chemical manufacturing process
- Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $97,843.00 - $152,880.00 per year
- Annual Bonus Target: 8%
