Job title: Process Engineer
About the Role Autoliv's Process Engineer will design and plan layouts for material-processing/manufacturing operations, define sequences of operations, and ensure the production process meets quality and reliability standards. The role includes troubleshooting production processes/equipment, collaborating across engineering and manufacturing functions, and developing quality protocols for finished materials and products. SolidWorks CAD proficiency is required.
What You'll Do
- Design and plan layout for material-processing/manufacturing operations.
- Plan sequence of operations and specify procedures for building products.
- Service, troubleshoot and resolve production process/equipment problems.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership as appropriate.
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality standards and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Collaborate with other engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and reliability of products and production equipment.
- Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements.
- Be competent in the use of SolidWorks CAD.
- Understand designs and plan layouts for material-processing/manufacturing operations and processing requirements in designing and acquiring processing equipment.
- Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills in process engineering and machine trouble shooting.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree in Machine Build/Assembly field.
- Competence in SolidWorks CAD.
- Understanding of design/layout for material-processing/manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of processing requirements in designing and acquiring processing equipment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills in process engineering and machine troubleshooting.
