Process Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Rochester, NY): Prepare technical specifications and assist in engineered drawings preparation for water and wastewater engineering projects including equipment layout, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams. Prepare technical reports and presentations. Complete detailed engineering calculations to analyze, model and design process system components. Prepare engineering proposals and contribute to business development tasks. Conduct site visits to U.S. project sites for engineering inspections or contract administration that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications. Collect and interpret process data to identify trends and areas for improvements. Develop standard operating procedures for process mechanical equipment. Ensure processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Lead process-related tasks from concept to completion including inter-discipline coordination. Mentor junior level staff on principles of design and project execution. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The salary is $117,478 - $135,700 per year. #LI-DNI #GTM

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 6 years of experience with the following:

• Hydraulic principles and engineering fluid dynamics fundamentals;

• Water and wastewater conveyance and treatment systems; and

• Applying advanced formulas, and data validation techniques using Microsoft Excel.

Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following:

• Process modeling and simulation with AFT Fathom and HADES modeling software.

• Must have an active U.S. or Canadian Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.

• Individuals in the position may be paid a discretionary bonus

• Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
