About the Role The Process and Quality Engineer will actively interface with manufacturing to drive quality and process improvements, resolve production quality issues, and support new product introductions. You will work cross-functionally with MSI teams and apply data-driven methods to improve efficiency and quality. What You'll Do
- Interface with manufacturing across cost, quality, throughput, and new product introductions.
- Identify and lead quality and process improvements applying knowledge of design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Resolve daily production quality issues using data analysis methods relevant to the process.
- Interface with MSI teams addressing quality, NPI, capacity, purchasing, and planning.
- Validate packaging systems using various testing protocols.
- Analyze data with hypothesis testing, normal distribution, and process capability analyses.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Prepare product and process reports; collect, analyze, summarize information and trends.
- Support stop-ship or quality alert meetings; drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Own product quality from a manufacturing perspective, aiming for efficiency gains through quality improvements.
- Maintain knowledge via workshops, publications, networks.
- Lead resolution and reduction of escaping customer quality issues.
- Apply advanced problem solving (DOE, statistical methods) and lean six sigma methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Pareto, Histograms). What We're Looking For
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Systems, or Manufacturing).
- Minimum of 6 months of applicable experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; employer sponsorship not available.
- Travel under 10%.
- Onsite position.
- Demonstrated leadership, data analysis, and process improvement skills; experience with CAD; ability to present technical information.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing concepts; strong problem-solving skills. Nice to Have
- Packaging experience helpful.
- Six Sigma exposure or experience preferred. Compensation & Benefits
- Target base salary: $65,700 - $85,000 (USD/year).
