About this role

About the Role The Private Wealth Director leads high-net-worth client relationships within Northern Trust's Private Wealth group in San Diego. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement customized Wealth Management strategies, delivering holistic financial services to sophisticated clients.

What You'll Do

  • Cultivate and manage deep, long-term client relationships, serving as the central point of contact.
  • Develop referrals and leads from internal and external sources including centers of influence.
  • Understand each client’s family dynamics, financial goals, and philanthropic aspirations.
  • Work with a team of experts to develop and implement customized Wealth Management strategies.
  • Orchestrate specialists to provide holistic financial services including wealth structuring, credit facilities, banking, asset management, budgeting, insurance, charitable giving, wealth transfer, and tax services.
  • Develop tailored meeting agendas and presentations with proactive, targeted advice and a relationship timeline.
  • Review accounts to determine banking, investment and advisory needs; anticipate and create opportunities to enhance client relationships.
  • Contribute to organic growth by expanding current relationships and sourcing new ones.
  • Actively participate in development of new and integrated solutions to meet client needs; bring in experts and close the sales.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of new services and communicate emerging needs.
  • Incorporate digital solutions and capabilities to enhance the client experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics.
  • 10 - 15 years of industry experience, including significant experience in relationship management and portfolio management.
  • MBA or Post-Graduate Degree preferred.
  • CFP, CPA, CFA, CTFA, CFM certificates preferred.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.

  • MBA or Post-Graduate Degree preferred.
  • CFP, CPA, CFA, CTFA, CFM certificates preferred.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $236,555 - $414,115 USD per year.
