About this role
We are assisting a private family in Doha who need a UK & European-trained Private Physician, with a standard of assessment the family can rely on. Once the household moves on to the Côte d'Azur for the summer, care follows them without a change of clinician. When you travel with the family, all local arrangements (visa, licensing and coordination with local clinics) remain with the family's own office and advisers. Our part is to introduce and verify the private physician; you then contract directly with the family, who employ you.
Requirements
- The essential foundation is a medical degree and current registration as a family medicine physician (GP), confirmed with the registering body. A baseline of 3+ years of clinical experience applies, ideally within a private or high-standard environment. We consider only UK or European training for the private physician post, with each qualification assessed document by document. Excellent spoken and written English is required, and you must be able to write clear clinical assessment notes in English. Extended periods away from Doha are part of the post, and we ask about this at the first assessment.
Benefits
- Remuneration for the private physician is £240,000 per year, with accommodation and travel included, gross, paid on a permanent footing. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. In Doha you live within the family's residence: the role is live-in and single-status. The appointment is long-term, with a stable contract, for a role that rewards long service. You sign the private physician contract directly with the family, reviewed by you before you sign. Engagement essentials Availability to begin within six weeks of offer. Live-in and single-status: the role suits clinicians who relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice. Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family's own office and advisers.
