About this role
A private family in Doha is recruiting a UK & European-trained Private Physician on a permanent basis. The private physician appointment depends on exacting clinical standards, and discretion within the household is assumed. Once the household moves on to the Côte d'Azur for the summer, you go with them, and your clinical assessment standards travel unchanged. When you travel with the family, all local arrangements (visa, licensing and coordination with local clinics) remain with the family's own office and advisers. Our part is to introduce and verify the private physician; the family is the employer and signs with you directly.
Requirements
- The essential foundation is a medical degree and current registration as a family medicine physician (GP), from a UK or European authority. 2+ years of clinical practice is the minimum, ideally in private or family settings. We consider only UK or European training for the private physician post; we apply that standard without exception. Excellent spoken and written English is required, and every placement is covered by a confidentiality agreement. Extended periods away from Doha are part of the post, wherever the family's plans lead.
Benefits
- Remuneration for the private physician is £240,000 per year, with accommodation and travel included, gross. The salary is agreed directly between the family and the clinician; each clinician should take advice from their own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in their circumstances. In Doha you live within the family's residence: the role is live-in and single-status. The appointment is long-term, with a stable contract, and the family plans its calendar to allow proper rest. You sign the private physician contract directly with the family. Engagement essentials Availability to begin within six weeks of offer. Live-in and single-status: the role suits clinicians who relocate alone, with full flexibility to travel worldwide with the family at short notice. Medical Staff Talent introduces and verifies clinicians. The engagement is contracted directly between the family and the clinician, and all local arrangements (visa, licensed entity, coordination with local clinics) remain with the family's own office and advisers.
