About the Role The Print Production Manager (PPM) is responsible for liaising with clients and printers, and providing internal instruction to modify artwork so that the final print aligns with the original design intent across multiple packaging types and print processes. This role ensures timely, accurate reprographics and colour separation while maintaining brand standards and printer specifications. What You'll Do
- Follow all Standard Working Practices (SWP).
- Assess new designs, liaising with the client, printer and tooling supplier to agree artwork changes/separation approach, based on the chosen print process.
- Provide Artworkers with technical instructions on artwork separation.
- Support and develop Artworkers to apply reprographics/colour separation with minimum PPM input.
- Train and support new and junior members of the PPM team.
- Specify tooling requirements (where required).
- Maintain client brand targets and colour standards.
- Maintain printer specification records, and printer qualification.
- Maintain PPM technical records.
- Provide post-print analysis (both measured and visual).
- Work in conjunction with all other areas of the business to ensure that artwork is generated in the most effective and timely manner possible. What We're Looking For
- Experience coordinating artwork changes across packaging types and print processes, with clients and printers.
- Strong technical knowledge of artwork separation, reprographics and colour separation.
- Ability to train and mentor artworkers and junior staff.
- Familiarity with brand targets, colour standards and printer specifications.
- Excellent communication, coordination and project-management skills.
- Attention to detail and focus on post-print quality analysis.
