Job title: Principal Validation Engineer

About the Role Principal Validation Engineer will contribute to development, porting, execution, and debug of bare metal software on multiple SSD blocks to validate functionality. You will create and maintain code to support new features, collaborate with Design, FW, and Validation teams to debug issues, and design tests to measure performance and power across SoC blocks.

What You'll Do

  • Development, porting, execution, and debug of bare metal software on multiple SSD blocks to validate proper functionality
  • Create, maintain and improve code to support new features and standards
  • Work with Design, FW, and Validation teams to debug issues and determine root cause on failure cases
  • Create and review test plans and prepare test result documents for internal/external sharing
  • Create tests to measure performance, throughput, and power of multiple SoC blocks

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, and at least 5-10 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3-5 years, in Pre-Si Validation, Post-Si Validation, or Stress & PVT testing; overall GPA 3.5 or higher
  • Excellent C/C++ software development skills, strong embedded software development experience, Linux proficiency, and basic knowledge of ARM/RISC micro-processor or SOC architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of DDR, SPI, PCIe, NVMe; NAND testing and debugging experience (SW and HW) is a plus
  • Expertise with embedded software development and proven debugging abilities
  • Experience with lab tools: Emulators, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers
  • Ability to work across disciplines and manage time across several demands
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to NAND testing and debugging as a plus
  • Experience with Pre-Si/Post-Si Validation and Stress & PVT testing is advantageous
