About the Role AHEAD is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to architect, design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-scale hybrid cloud and data center solutions. You will lead clients through the development of complex and global VCF-based architectures that enhance operations, automation, security, and scalability. You will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding client and project teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high-quality solution delivery. This role requires a deep technical understanding of VMware’s VCF Platform, integration with third-party solutions, and best practices for deployment and operations. A minimum of 10% travel is expected.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of VMware Cloud Foundation-based enterprise hybrid cloud and data center solutions.
- Architect end-to-end VCF-based architectures and integrate with third-party solutions.
- Guide client and project teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality solution delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operations, automation, security, and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership and best practices for deployment and ongoing operations.
- Travel at least 10% to engage with clients.
What We're Looking For
- Deep technical experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and its deployment patterns.
- Track record designing and delivering enterprise-scale hybrid cloud and data-center solutions.
- Ability to lead client engagements, mentor junior staff, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of automation, security, and integration with third-party solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% or more as needed.
Nice to Have
- VMware certifications or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with automation and DevOps practices in cloud environments.
- Prior experience driving global, multi-region VCF-based architectures.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 per year (On-Target Earnings range with base salary and bonus).

- Travel: 10% expected.
