About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Principal Systems Engineer to join HubSpot’s System Operations team, supporting and scaling employee servicing servers and 3rd party application infrastructure. We’re a small, technology-driven group focused on designing reliable, scalable, and efficient systems to enable HubSpot’s growth and employee productivity. What You'll Do
- Act as technical lead on select project implementations.
- Design, install, maintain, and operate internal infrastructure across Windows, Mac, VMware, and Linux; AWS, GCP; and 3rd party SaaS integrations/APIs (e.g., GSuite, Okta).
- Develop automation and tooling (e.g., AWX/Ansible/Inventory) and script common tasks to solve operational problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, communicate planning/progress/issues, and mentor teammates. What We're Looking For
- Have built complex systems from start to finish.
- Python programming skills for scripting/automation/programming projects.
- Cloud computing administration experience (AWS/GCP).
- Strong fundamental knowledge of security best practices. Nice to Have
- Experience with Ansible AWX.
- Experience with 3rd party SaaS like GSuite, Okta, JIRA, Active Directory.
- Monitoring and incident response experience. Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Cash Compensation Range: $156,000—$249,600 USD
- Eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs); overtime eligibility may apply.
