About the Role

Join Marvell's Custom Compute Solutions Business Unit (CCSBU) as we establish our design presence in San Diego. You will help deliver high‑quality customer silicon for advanced AI, XPU, and XPU‑Attach programs by shaping verification strategy and building a world‑class verification organization in Southern California.

What You'll Do

  • Develop the architecture for a functional verification environment, including reference models and bus‑functional monitors and drivers, and contribute to the methodology behind such development.
  • Write a verification test plan using random techniques and coverage analysis, collaborating with designers to ensure it is complete.
  • Develop tests and tune the environment to achieve coverage goals.
  • Debug failures and work with designers to resolve issues.
  • Verify boot code and architect, develop, and maintain tools to streamline the design of state‑of‑the‑art multi‑core SoCs.
  • Transform requirements from engineering teams into software tools that are easy to use and scalable within a highly parallel compute environment.
  • Unit and regression testing of software tools.

What We're Looking For

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 10‑15+ years of verification and firmware/software development experience (or MS/PhD with 5‑10+ years).
  • Strong background in SoC verification and test bench development using UVM, SystemVerilog, C/C++, and DPI.
  • Strong verification skills with understanding of methodology (OOP, white‑box/black‑box, directed/random testing, coverage, gate‑level simulations, data structures).
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Problem solving and quality improvement mindset.
  • Initiative, bias for thoughtful action, and detail‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: USD 184,400 – 272,950 per year.
  • Benefits focused on financial well‑being, family support, mental and physical health, and recognition. Highlights include an employee stock purchase plan with a 2‑year look back, family support programs, robust mental health resources, and recognition and service awards.

Note: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
