About the Role Principle Scientist II – Pharmacology will contribute to the pharmacology strategy within Novartis Research, collaborating across disciplines to advance drug discovery programs in alignment with company goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead design and execution of pharmacology experiments to support discovery and translational research.
- Develop and implement in vitro and in vivo pharmacology strategies; analyze data and present findings to cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and develop junior scientists; contribute to project plans, timelines, and publication readiness.
- Collaborate with biology, chemistry, and clinical teams to drive translational pharmacology efforts.
What We're Looking For
- PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or a related field; 5+ years of post-PhD industry experience.
- Strong experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation skills; track record of delivering impactful drug discovery outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with translational pharmacology programs, biomarker strategies, or in vivo models.
- Leadership experience and the ability to mentor others.
