About the Role The Principal Scientist I, Soluble Biomarkers within Molecular & Cellular Sciences (MCS) at Novartis will lead biomarker discovery and development efforts to support translational research and clinical programs. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to advance biomarker strategies in oncology/other areas and contribute to scientific publications and internal technology platforms.
What You'll Do
- Lead design and execution of biomarker assay development and validation for soluble biomarkers.
- Collaborate with translational science, clinical teams, and discovery groups to implement biomarker workflows.
- Analyze and interpret biomarker data, generate reports and data presentations.
- Mentor junior scientists and supervise project activities.
What We're Looking For
- PhD in relevant field or equivalent experience; strong background in biomarker science, soluble biomarkers, assay development.
- Experience with immunoassays, ELISA, LC-MS or other platforms.
- Strong data analysis skills, proficiency with statistics, R/SAS.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
