About the Role NWRESD is seeking an antiracist leader to oversee the School Age program serving approximately 70-100 students who require behavioral and mental health support to achieve academic success. The principal will provide program vision, administration, standards, monitoring, accountability, and reporting within the NWRESD mission and in collaboration with local school districts and LEAs. - Plan, develop, and supervise the instructional program within the policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations of the School Board, ensuring culturally sustaining instruction and service delivery.
- Coordinate the delivery of School Age Special Education services in the building, including IEP implementation, review, and revision.
- Make staff assignments; participate in hiring decisions and determine employment status of licensed and classified staff.
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of program personnel in compliance with Board and ESD policy.
- Work closely with LEAs in developing and evaluating programs and services; provide guidance on School Age Special Education matters; collaborate to ensure smooth transitions between component schools and NWRESD programs.
- Supervise student conduct and behavior within the school building, on grounds, and at school-sponsored activities; make disciplinary decisions.
- Establish and implement restorative practices to ensure a safe, supportive environment. What We're Looking For
- Valid Oregon TSPC Administrative License or ability to obtain within district timeline.
- Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or School Administration.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience teaching in general or special education.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience leading evidence-based practices within Tier 3 SEL Programs (preferred).
- Three (3) years administrative experience preferred. Nice to Have
- Experience leading district behavior support teams, specialized classrooms, and/or special school programs.
- Familiarity with MTSS implementation and collaboration with local districts. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $127,384 - $135,200 DOE
- Administrator Salary Schedule; Exempt; 220 work days
