Principal Product Line Manager, Electronic Warfare & Distributed Effects

Motorola Solutions
Irvine, CA
Hybrid

About this role

About the Role Silvus Technologies is seeking a Principal Product Line Manager who will report to the Vice President of Product on the Product team. The successful individual in this role will lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of capabilities supporting Electronic Warfare (EW) and RF sensing applications. This position is located at Silvus Technologies’ Engineering and R&D Office in Irvine, CA, and operates on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of four days onsite per week. What You'll Do

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for EW and sensing capabilities. Define how sensing and communications evolve both independently and as an integrated platform. Develop a multi-year roadmap spanning radio-integrated sensing, standalone sensing products, and software-defined sensing and analytics.
  • Align capability development with the long-term platform architecture.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine product/market fit.
  • Engage directly with end users and customers to uncover pain points and use cases; translate insights into actionable product requirements and drive development priorities.
  • Evangelize the product with stakeholders, including military end users, integrators, and prime contractors.
  • Own the product roadmap and collaborate with engineering, business development, and leadership to align priorities.
  • Support and drive pilot programs, field tests, and customer engagements.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed to maintain strong customer engagement.
  • Serve as the capability owner for EW and Sensing, translating mission needs into scalable product capabilities and guiding investment decisions across communications and sensing domains. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree (STEM) and experience owning the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for EW and sensing capabilities as a capability owner.
  • Ability to deliver EW and sensing capabilities as scalable, reusable platform features rather than one-off implementations.
  • Deep understanding of EW and sensing mission areas, including contested and congested spectrum operations, RF detection and geolocation, spectrum awareness, and situational intelligence.
  • Familiarity with DoD priorities such as CEMA, JADC2, and multi-domain operations.
  • Proven ability to engage with government customers, primes, and integrators to understand evolving needs.
  • Strong communication and evangelization skills with end users, integrators, and prime contractors.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
