Job Summary
Provide PACO discipline engineering support and technical authority to the HA & HB-Buko projects during design, construction, and commissioning phases. These projects aim to deliver circa 350-450 MMscf/d of gas to the NLNG Train-7 from 2029+, plus 25-30 kb/d of oil and condensate for export. The role ensures Operations and Maintenance requirements are fully captured in the design, minimizing re-design in later phases, and supports the Flawless Project Delivery Plan.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple engineers (PACO engineers and 3rd party contractors) in the PACO scope of work related to design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide technical support to aid project interface with internal and external stakeholders, including Asset teams, Engineering Design Contractors, JV partners, and Regulatory agencies.
- Ensure all design decisions align with relevant group standards, blueprint project management, design engineering manuals, and HSE requirements.
- Deliver the full benefits and functionalities of PACO technologies aligned with current operation and maintenance philosophy.
- Drive team HSE performance in line with Business Performance Targets, maintaining a zero-incident mindset on Design and Technical Integrity.
- Provide technical assurance on design points and ensure compliance with specified control point sign-offs.
- Assist the Engineering Lead in developing a cost-competitive team budget and contribute to initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Network effectively to stay abreast of technological developments and contribute to project execution best practices.
Requirements
Required:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- NSE and COREN membership.
- Minimum of 14 years' experience in PACO within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience in plant automation, process control & safeguarding, and system integration, including 3rd party packages.
- Experience managing MAC, especially Emerson DeltaV system.
- Experience managing pre-commissioning and commissioning of PLC, DCS, and SIS systems.
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to work independently and challenge/support others.
- Good leadership, coaching, negotiating, decision-making, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or onshore terminals.
- Experience in specification, design, and integration of telecommunications systems.
- Good working knowledge of a broad range of electrical/electronic engineering systems and tools.
- Conversant with Nigerian, Renaissance, and international oil and gas facilities design codes and standards.
