About the Role A Senior Principal to lead and grow Baker Tilly's Oil and Gas / Energy Finance Managed Services practice. This role defines the vertical strategy, expands market presence, and shapes finance-focused managed services solutions for energy clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Oil and Gas / Energy Finance Managed Services practice as the senior industry leader; define growth strategy, market priorities, and solution focus for the practice.
- Build a differentiated point of view on finance managed services for the energy sector and partner across the firm to align industry strategy with client priorities.
- Originate and close new business within the Oil and Gas / Energy sector; build relationships with CFOs, CAOs, controllers, finance leaders, private equity sponsors and portfolio company executives.
- Lead strategic pursuits, solution development, executive presentations, and pricing discussions; develop a strong pipeline to support growth.
- Shape finance managed services solutions across procure to pay, order to cash, FP&A, close and consolidation, management reporting, accounting support, cash flow visibility, compliance, and ERP/finance applications.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior finance executives; position managed services as a strategic enabler of stronger performance and move clients toward an integrated operating model.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record as a senior leader in finance and energy sector advisory; deep industry credibility and commercial instincts.
- Ability to translate complex client needs into scalable managed services solutions; experience in finance transformation and operating model design.
- Experience guiding finance functions across large energy companies or portfolios; knowledge of JV structures, project accounting, asset-intensive operations, multi-entity structures, and acquisition integration.
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to engage CFOs/CAOs and other finance leaders; ability to lead cross-functional teams across the firm.
- Strong business development acumen with ability to originate opportunities, shape proposals, and close deals.

- Prior experience leading finance operations modernization, controllership, FP&A, or shared services programs.
- Experience working with private equity-backed energy assets and portfolio companies.
