About the Role Microsoft is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer in Hanoi, Vietnam to help bring new hardware technology to customers and lead manufacturing engineering initiatives that realize Microsoft's hardware strategy. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experience through robust manufacturing processes and product realization. What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing engineering activities for hardware products, including design for manufacturability, process development, and production ramp.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, supply chain, quality, operations) to optimize manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality, and reliability in production environments; define metrics and monitor performance.
- Mentor and lead manufacturing engineers; influence product developers and suppliers to meet targets.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, safety, and regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For
