Principal Librarian (Masters in Library Studies)
The Federal College of Education, FCE Yola was established in 1974, as a middle level Teacher Training Institute. Hitherto, it was known as Federal advance Teacher's College, FATC Yola. However, actual academic activities commenced during the 1975/76 session, with a total of one hundred and fifty (150) students under the leadership of the Pioneer Principal.

Requirements
- Candidate for position of Principal Librarian must possess Masters Degree in the relevant areas of specialization as indicated below, with at least twelve (12) years teaching and research experience. Evidence of NYSC Discharge or Exemption certificate. Evidence of Registration with TRCN. Demonstration of good knowledge of computer. Demonstrate ability to offer academic and administrative leadership. Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise applied research/project/exhibition. Evidence of continuous research/invention/innovation in the area of specialization. Successful external assessment. Evidence of community service. Publications: Journal Articles: 13; Chapters in Books/Major Exhibitions or inventions: 4; Conference/Seminar Paper Presentation: 10.
