Responsibilities

Source and build relationships with exceptional pre-seed founders and deal sources

Independently lead diligence processes from first meeting through investment recommendation

Develop investment theses and conduct deep market research across B2B and B2C sectors

Spend the majority of time on sourcing, networking, and pipeline development

Support and engage with portfolio companies post-investment
-
Own a strategic, firm-wide initiative aligned with personal interests and firm priorities

Represent Afore externally across events, conferences, and online platforms

Preferred Qualifications
-
2–5 years of experience as a founder, venture investor, startup operator, angel investor, etc.

Technical background in computer science or engineering

Strong track record or clear potential in early-stage investing or founder evaluation
-
Demonstrated ability to build a high-quality network of founders or deal sources
-
High attention to detail, professionalism, and sound judgment

Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams

Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
