Job title: Principal Infrastructure Administrator 2
About the Role As a Principal Infrastructure Administrator 2 on Skyworks' IT team, you will help support and execute the company’s corporate IT strategy. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the reliability and performance of critical systems that enable business units to operate efficiently and achieve strategic objectives.
What You'll Do
- Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests through the corporate ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Maintain and support the on-premises virtualization infrastructure (Dell servers and VMware) across Skyworks sites, including related storage and backup components.
- Administer and support Skyworks NAS environments and enterprise storage solutions (e.g., Dell Isilon); future block storage support as needed.
- Manage backup systems and storage appliances (Veeam and Dell DataDomain) to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Provide basic administration of Microsoft Active Directory and familiarity with Office 365.
- Monitor system alerts and proactively respond to issues to maintain uptime and performance.
- Apply firmware, OS, and application updates across infrastructure to maintain security and performance.
- Support security and compliance initiatives by following best practices and assisting with audits.
- Develop or maintain scripts to automate routine administrative tasks (PowerShell or similar).
- Collaborate with network teams to troubleshoot connectivity issues related to virtualization, storage, or backups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience administering Windows systems in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Active Directory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to collaborate in a team-oriented, results-driven setting.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
- Experience with patch and configuration management tools (WSUS, SCCM, Ansible, or similar).
- Solid understanding of security best practices, including system hardening and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS).
- Office 365 experience.
- Nice to Have: Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

- Dell Isilon and Dell DataDomain storage experience (preferred).
