Job title: Principal Data Advisor
About the Role SimCorp DMS Advisory and change management services help clients manage pricing and reference data as a Managed Service. As Principal Data Advisor, you will oversee client onboarding, monitor vendor changes, maintain the standard data model and orchestrate change management activities by liaising with internal IT and Operations. You will report to the head of the Data Advisory team.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain data standards (lookups, mappings, conventions, and rules), data models and data ontologies and ensure they relate to client needs.
- Maintain metadata information documentation regarding data models, data interpretation, data lineage, and utilization for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor, track and assess vendor-related changes impacting SimCorp DMS and Enterprise Data Manager clients.
- Facilitate Change & Control Board (CCB) governance with internal service teams to prioritize and deliver standard and client changes.
- Design and implement a robust client onboarding framework for seamless DMS onboarding.
- Advise on data and changes integrations, serving as the advisor and quality gateway.
- Support the design and maintenance of data test concepts and conduct regular data tests.
- Support DMS Operations on various process improvement initiatives.
- Build in-depth knowledge of industry and regulatory changes and promote best practices within SimCorp.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance
- Experience in Change Management with data vendor feeds (Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters, etc.)
- Knowledge of financial products and markets including derivatives, structured instruments
- Experience in requirements engineering, data modelling and full SDLC
- Structured approach with attention to detail, service mindset, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Process management, control and design experience is beneficial
- Relevant experience in Data Management and Business Analysis
- Strong knowledge of investment/trade lifecycle activities
- Ability to collaborate across departments to ensure client success
- Clear verbal and written communication to engage and inform stakeholders
