About this role
Job title: Principal Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer - Optical
About the Role Marvell’s Broadband Analog group designs physical layer ICs for high-speed optical fiber data communication, including Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs) and drivers for Silicon Photonic (SiPho) devices. This role is focused on RF and analog design for high-speed TIAs used with high-performance equalizers in data center and telecom applications.
What You'll Do
- Active-circuit design.
- Design of leading edge transimpedance amplifiers, using both SiGe BiCMOS and the most advanced CMOS FinFET technologies, where circuit performance will need to surpass industry-leading products.
- Development of transmission line structures and other millimeter wave structures to enable higher performance.
- Design of high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers.
- Design of various other analog circuits including linear regulators, AGC loops, current/voltage sensors, bandgaps etc.
- Work with other functional groups to facilitate post-silicon validation, qualification, transition to mass production, and customer support.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in RF and analog circuit design, including TIAs and high-speed ICs.
- Proficiency with SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS FinFET technologies.
- Experience with transmission line structures and millimeter-wave concepts.
- Familiarity with post-silicon validation, qualification, and transition to mass production.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with optical interface chips tightly coupled with equalizers.
- Knowledge of data center and telecom market requirements for high-speed broadband ICs.
Compensation & Benefits
