About this role
Job title: Principal Analog Circuit Design Engineer - SerDes
About the Role Intel is seeking a Principal Analog Circuit Design Engineer - SerDes to design, develop, and build analog circuits in advanced process nodes for analog and mixed-signal IPs. The role involves designing floorplans, performing circuit design, extracting chip parameters, and simulating analog behavior models, as well as creating test plans to verify designs and evaluating results. You will verify functionality and optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, and yield, while collaborating cross-functionally to report progress and resolve issues.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and build analog circuits in advanced process nodes for analog and mixed-signal IPs.
- Design floorplans, perform circuit design, extract chip parameters, and simulate analog behavior models.
- Create test plans to verify designs according to circuit and block microarchitecture specifications and evaluate test results.
- Verify functionality to optimize circuit for power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to report design progress and track and resolve issues.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in analog circuit design for analog and mixed-signal IPs; knowledge of SerDes is preferred.
- Proficiency in floorplanning, circuit parameter extraction, and analog simulations.
- Experience in developing and executing test plans; ability to verify designs against specifications and optimize for power, performance, area, timing, and yield.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and manage progress across teams.
