Principal Administration Officer
Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) is a semi autonomous government agency of the Ministry of Education, Kenya. It was established through a Legal Notice No. 17 of 14th February 1986. The Institute is currently run by a council appointed by the Minister for Education. The Head of the Institute is the Director who is also the Secretary to the Council.

Responsibilities

Coordinate repair maintenance through conducting physical surveys

Oversee transport logistics

Promote staff welfare by providing appropriate tools of work and suitable work environment

Identify and acquire office equipment and furniture for the Institute

Coordinate the renewal of Institute insurance policies
-
Carry out the day-to-day administrative activities of the Institute

Maintain and update catalogue of all of the Institute’s assets and properties
-
Manage allocated office space, security and outsourced administrative services

Oversee the implementation of infrastructure projects

Comply to statutory and regulatory requirements

Qualifications / Work Experience
-
Professional Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution

Professional Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing

Academic Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution

Professional Cumulative service period of nine (9) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Senior Administration Officer or in a comparable position
