Primary School Teacher - Hausa Language
Location: Lugbe, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons that meet students’ diverse learning needs.
- Apply effective and innovative teaching methods that promote critical thinking, creativity, and active learning.
- Assess, monitor, and document students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and relevant stakeholders to support students’ academic and personal development.
- Maintain a safe, disciplined, inclusive, and conducive classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree or NCE in Hausa, IRS, Arabic or a related field from a recognised institution.
- 2–10 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably at the Primary School level.
- Must be able to teach or speak Hausa Language effectively.
- TRCN certification, or evidence of ongoing TRCN certification or relevant education qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver effective, results-oriented lessons.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support learners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
