A Pricing and Sales Strategy Manager at Deloitte leads large engagements that tackle complex pricing, revenue, and margin challenges within Deloitte Consulting’s Customer Strategy & Applied Design practice. The role involves managing engagements from planning and budgeting through delivery, and working with executive clients across multiple locations in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Plan and mobilize strategy engagements, define deliverable structure and content, and manage engagement progress and budget.
- Oversee detailed, transaction-level quantitative analytics and the development of pricing strategies, including Economic Value Estimates (EVE), value-based pricing, granular customer segmentation, and in-depth competitive analysis.
- Conduct qualitative customer interviews to assess the client’s value proposition.
- Lead client engagements that identify, design, and implement advanced pricing, technology, and creative business solutions for large companies.
- Manage project status and progress, prepare and present weekly steering reports, assess risks, manage delays, and escalate issues to steering committees.
- Cultivate day-to-day relationships with executive clients and sponsors; support strategic decisions and implementation in pricing, finance, commercial excellence, and analytics.
- Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate in proposal development.
- Contribute to practice development and eminence by developing practical solutions and methodologies, creating thought leadership, public speaking, and publishing in pricing-related and industry outlets.
- Mentor and coach team members, contribute to staffing processes, and participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

6+ years of experience in a consulting setting with demonstrable depth of knowledge in 1–2 industries.

3+ years of experience with core pricing concepts such as value-based pricing, customer segmentation, and customer profitability analysis.

Ability to travel approximately 30%, depending on assignments and client engagements.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Experience with budgetary responsibilities related to projects or resources.

Experience leading programs with pricing technology components (e.g., PROS, PriceFx, Vendavo).
