About the Role The Union Vicinage is seeking an individual to join the vicinage Pretrial Services Program. The role involves researching case histories, conducting pretrial risk assessments, preparing reports, meeting with defendants, and making recommendations to judges regarding conditions of pretrial release; you will interact with judges, prosecutors, public defenders, the county jail, local law enforcement, the private bar, and the public. What You'll Do
- Regularly interact with pretrial defendants, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, the county jail, local law enforcement, the private bar, and the public.
- Research criminal case histories and conduct pretrial risk assessments.
- Prepare reports, meet with defendants, and make recommendations to judges regarding conditions of pretrial release.
