Preproduction & Planning Supervisor
Our Nashua, NH client needs a Preproduction & Planning Supervisor for their team! You’ll manage all aspects of production preparation to optimize manufacture of the company’s packaging solutions.
Responsibilities of the Preproduction & Planning Supervisor
- Provide Operations with clear and reliable production specifications derived from customer requirements
- Ensure that the job bags are complete with accurate and reliable instructions
- Analyze customer briefs, requirements, and specifications for new items, new projects, or item evolution in order to identify production challenges from capability, capacity, and quality standpoints
- Order tooling for stamping, embossing, and die cutting
- Provide ongoing technical support to help resolve process, quality, or equipment issues; investigate complex production problems; analyze and recommend solutions
- Meet with customer technical interfaces on-site or off-site to review current business requiring technical support
- Interview, supervise, coach, train, review performance of, and organize workflow for department employees
- Prepare monthly reports for executive management
- Maintain accuracy of the specification database
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications of the Preproduction & Planning Supervisor
- 3+ years of folding carton or similar production environment experience, preferably in a leadership role
- Ability to understand complex technical customer requirements
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent computer skills, especially use of ERP software and Excel
- Multi-lingual (English/Spanish) communication skills, both written and verbal, preferred
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols
