About the Role The Prep Cook in the Vinyl Room at Live Nation Las Vegas is a part-time kitchen role focused on preparing food items according to standard recipes in a high-volume environment, ensuring proper portions, safety, and cleanliness to support guest satisfaction. What You'll Do
- Prepare food items according to standard recipes and ensure portions and weights are correct
- Follow all recipe specifications and practice proper rotation of all food items, including lifting/moving up to 75 lbs
- Keep work areas clean and spill-free; inspect food for spoilage and rotate stock as needed
- Maintain equipment in the prep area and support line operations by circulating through your work area during shifts
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards for the House of Blues and Vinyl Room; assist other team members as needed
- Follow closing procedures and check out with the manager on duty; strive to ensure guest satisfaction What We're Looking For
- Required: Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations
- Required: Large batch cooking
- Required: Kitchen sanitation knowledge
- Required: Ability to consistently follow recipe standards
- Required: Skills in using a knife and heavy-duty kitchen equipment
- Required: High School Diploma Nice to Have
- Ability to organize and manage time
- Self-motivation – work with little supervision
- Able to inspect food items for spoilage and properly rotate
